Reiki
The term Reiki is comprised of two Japanese words: Rei, meaning Universal; and Ki, which is Life Force Energy. Universal Life Force Energy is the unseen energy that flows through all living things. It sustains and nourishes our body, mind, and spirit.
Reiki is a powerful technique that can help promote balance and relaxation in the body, mind, and spirit. Whether you're dealing with physical pain or emotional stresses, Reiki can help you release tension and restore your natural state of well being. It is a non-invasive technique where the practitioner channels Reiki (Universal Life Force Energy) to promote healing by releasing any congestion or over activity from your energy centres (called Chakras) and restoring balanced energy flow. You remain fully clothed and comfortably laying down under a cozy blanket while the Reiki practitioner lays hands over and sometimes on major centres (chakras) of your body.
You may choose to set an intention for your Reiki treatment. Ultimately, Reiki will go wherever it is most needed for us, which may differ from what you think you need at the time. Everyone experiences a Reiki treatment uniquely. Some may have visions of colours, loved ones, loved ones who have crossed over, or even visions of life scenarios. At every least, it is likely to be one the most profoundly relaxing experiences you've had.
