Adulting is tough but kids have stressors too.  They may juggle school. sports, peer pressure, growing bodies, social lives, chores, and more.  

Massage Therapy can help them navigate their ever changing world by helping to teach the body and mind how to relax.  Regular massage therapy (including physical treatment, breathing techniques, stretch and posture instruction, etc...) helps brings self awareness.  When you achieve a healthier state of being through massage, you are more likely to recognize when something is off.  You'll also be less likely to tolerate it and ask for help instead of waiting until it gets worse and gets in the way of your life.  This is true for adults too of course but how wonderful to have some relaxation tools in your arsenal from an early age!  

Our athletic children, particularly those in competitive activities, should see an RMT every 4-6 weeks.  With these regular maintenance visits, the massage therapist can identify any imbalances and correct them through hands-on treatment and assigning muscle specific strengthening and stretching exercises, breathing techniques, postural or gait adjustments.  Having 'the once over' every 4-6 weeks allows us to identify and correct any issues before they become the kind of problem that would have them missing practices and games/competitions.
