Ingredients

Distilled water
Pure Castille soap
Essential Oil of Cedarwood Cedarwood oil is naturally non-toxic antiseptic, anti fungal, antimirobial, deodorizing, and incecticidal. It also cleanses and purifies energetically as well as having a relaxing, soothing effect.

How to use

This formulation is wood-safe (see note) but is completely suitable for all floor surfaces. Everything will be sparkling clean and your wood floors will be nourished and revitalized. (I can personally attest to the sparkling clean: I literally live in a forest and had 3 large dogs and multiple kids and adults traipsing in and out in all sorts of weather for years. I prefer to walk around barefoot at home so really needed things clean. This does the job!)

If you have a Rubbermaid Reveal or similar floor washing device, you can use the washable pads they come with or your own cloth. If you have an old 'Swiffer' device, you can easily tuck your cloth of choice into that. Spray Floor Cleaner directly on freshly vacuumed floors and wipe/scrub with your device of choice. Dries quickly! No rinsing necessary!

Note: I learned the hard way that one should never use vinegar or alcohol in a floor cleaning solution. I have large areas of hardwood floors in my home and seem to have stripped much of the shine with cleaning solution recipes. This wood-safe formulation has restored some shine!

Why to use Natural Cleaning Products

We all know many commercial cleaning products contain hazardous ingredients. We've seen the skull and crossbones on the bottles. At the time of this writing, Canada does not require warnings about chronic health and environmental hazards from chemicals in cleaning products. Canada doesn't yet require all ingredients to be listed. Commercial cleaning products often contain chemicals that when released into the air can contribute to chronic respiratory problems, allergic reactions, and headaches.
